Platform Art is collaborating with Lunz Prebor Fowler and the national Pecha Kucha organization to bring this creative project to Lakeland.
PechaKucka (pronounced peh chak cha) is a social/networking event for creative, innovative and thought provoking individuals. Presenters show 20 images for 20 seconds each on any subject that is visually or mentally stimulating. Presentations are not for personal or business marketing. The event is fast paced with varied presentations laid over a simple yet consistent presentation rhythm.
The events are low cost, informal and accessible to all in a true “social” spaces. PKN Lakeland operates with no paid staff, facility etc. The $5 entry fee is to cover the cost of the event. Any proceeds remaining after each event will be donated to Platform Art, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) that presents visual arts, film, fashion, sound and performance art in nontraditional settings.
